Submission on the Regulatory Standards Bill

Mana Mokopuna - Children and Young People's Commission opposes the Bill in its current form because it fails to include a principle to uphold human rights, especially the rights of the child and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The importance of regulatory standards for mokopuna, including the intergenerational impacts, should not be underestimated. Overall, Mana Mokopuna is concerned that the Bill is a missed opportunity to strengthen the regulatory framework for them.
