Submission on the Summary Offences (Move-on Orders) Amendment Bill

Mana Mokopuna strongly opposes the Summary Offences (Move-on Orders) Amendment Bill. Rather than addressing the causes of rough sleeping and begging, the Bill is concerned with how business premises and public spaces look. The Bill will negatively impact the rights and wellbeing of an already vulnerable group of mokopuna, and will unjustifiably increase their interaction with the justice system over time.
